We’ve Got Answers!

What is the most important rule in paintball?

The number one rule of paintball, without exception, is that all players MUST wear their Face Masks at all times when in playing areas, the target range, or the chronograph area. This is for your safety and is strictly enforced.

Does paintball hurt when you get hit?

Paintball impacts can cause a brief stinging sensation, often described as similar to a snap from a towel. This sensation typically fades quickly. The adrenaline and excitement of the game, including running, dodging, and the competitive aspect of capturing the point, are key parts of the paintball experience.

What should I wear for paintball?

We recommend wearing comfortable, durable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants, such as jeans, are essential for leg protection. Long-sleeved shirts or jackets are also highly recommended, even in warmer weather, for added coverage. For footwear, please wear closed-toe shoes that provide good support and can withstand getting muddy. While paintball paint is made of non-toxic, water-soluble materials (food coloring and vegetable oil) that should wash out with normal laundry, the environment of the game often involves dirt and foliage, which may cause more significant staining. We provide all necessary protective gear, including masks and markers.

How can I minimize the chance of getting welts or bruises from paintball hits?

While a slight sting is part of the game, you can significantly reduce the possibility of welts or bruises by wearing appropriate protective clothing. 1 We recommend wearing a sweatshirt or other layers of thick clothing to cushion impacts. Protecting your hands is also important, so tight-fitting cloth gloves are a good idea. The neck area is particularly sensitive, and we strongly advise utilizing the neck guards that we provide for added protection.

Is there a minimum age to play?

Yes, our minimum age to participate in paintball is 12 years old. Players under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times, and a waiver must be signed by the accompanying adult.
